Shwmai pawb! Right, that’s enough of this South Walian talk now – I’ve had plenty of stick about this since moving down to Swansea to live, and I’m sure I haven’t heard the last of it – especially after my speech on the wedding day! I guess you all know who I am; otherwise you wouldn’t be here at all. But, in case you don’t, I’m Owain – hello! Although by now I live in Birchgrove, Swansea, I am originally from Bethel near Caernarfon – a true Bethel boy, or as most people down south would say – a Gog! The reason for the emigration (!) from Gogland was for one woman – my bride-to-be Alison, who I met in my first week in University where we both studied pharmacy, and were once lab partners growing all kinds of bacteria – oh the romance! I’m not going to give too much away to our romance, as I don’t want to give too many gifts away to my best men before their speeches, but after years of courting – a wedding it is! |

On the Big Day, I hope my knees will tremble slightly less than they were on top of the Empire State Building in NY where I asked Alison to marry me, but I am looking forward to it now, a big day that’s the start of the rest of our lives together. |
