The two Andrews will be my ushers on our Big Day, and I’m grateful that both of them have agreed to be my ushers and to help me out on the day. Two make sure that nobody gets mixed up with both Andrews, here’s a bit of info on each:
Andrew is Alison’s older brother, and although I know he looks after his sister as any brother would do, since I moved down South we have got on great – often enjoying sharing a few cans and a cheeky takeaway together. Andrew is a massive Swans supporter – even before they got to the Premiership, so not a glory hunter like many around Swansea recently – who has a season ticket down the Liberty. I guess that finding out that the Swans are away to Blackburn on our wedding day was a big relief to him, so he now won’t miss a home game! If our wedding day will be a fraction as good as the play-off final at Wembley in May, I’m sure Andrew and everybody else will enjoy.
Andrew, or Andrew Mawr (“Big Andrew”!) as he’s known around Bethel and Caernarfon, is my sister’s partner. I’ve known Andrew for years, since we were in Bethel FC’s first game back in 2001, and have played on the same team for many seasons, en joying plenty of night outs together with the team. He is renowned for being somewhat of a “Gentle Giant” – always smiling and willing to help anyone, but I hastily add that the “Gentle” part is off the pitch only! On the pitch he’s more of an animal, and I’m so glad that I’ve never had to play against him – I don’t think I would ever like to be on the other end of one of his challenges! Although our wedding
day is not a football match, I’m glad Andrew is on my team
once again.
